Detroit – by og technokultur/ Detroit – City and Techno Culture
Kunstformidling / Art & Cultural Mediation
Min viden om og interesse for kunst bygger på både akademisk fordybelse og praktisk erfaring. Jeg har arbejdet for og med flere kunstner samt på gallerier, museum og kunstbureau og har derigennem opnået indgående kendskab til kunstens produktion, udstilling, kuratering og formidling. Gennem artikler, foredrag og projekter undersøger jeg kunstens æstetiske og samfundsmæssige betydning.
My engagement with art is grounded in both academic research and practical experience. I have worked with an artist as well as in galleries, a museum, and an art agency, gaining insight into the production, exhibition, and communication of art. Through articles, lectures, and projects, I explore the aesthetic and societal significance of art.
Bykultur, arkitektur og urban æstetik / Urban Culture, Architecture and Aesthetics
Jeg interesserer mig for, hvordan moderne byer formes, og hvordan de former menneskers liv. Med en fascination af sociologi og byens historier ser jeg både de store linjer og de små detaljer, der gemmer sig i byens rum og arkitektur. Mine erfaringer med at bo i Berlin og New York har givet mig et særligt perspektiv, og sammen med København er det byer, jeg har et særligt interesse for.
I am interested in how modern cities are shaped and how they in turn shape people’s lives. Fascinated by sociology and urban histories, I pay attention to both the broad patterns and the small details hidden in a city’s spaces and architecture. Living in Berlin and New York has given me a unique perspective, and together with Copenhagen, these are cities I am particularly drawn to.

German Culture
Jeg brænder for at formidle tysk kunst og kultur og har gjort det gennem undervisning, projekter og samarbejde med Goethe-Institut Dänemark. Min tid i Tyskland har givet mig førstehåndsindsigt i landets kunst- og kulturliv, og jeg arbejder med at gøre tysk kultur levende og tilgængelig for et dansk publikum.
I am passionate about mediating German art and culture through teaching, projects, and collaboration with the Goethe-Institut Dänemark. My time in Germany has given me firsthand insight into the country’s artistic and cultural life, and I work to make German culture engaging and accessible for a Danish audience.
The Sims
Computerspillet The Sims har påvirket, hvordan jeg agerer og tænker i visse situationer. Jeg har skrevet om spillets rolle i min klumme og delt mine erfaringer i Go’ Morgen Danmark, hvor jeg fortalte om, hvordan spillet har haft indflydelse på nogle af mine valg og overvejelser.
The computer game The Sims has influenced how I act and think in certain situations. I’ve written about its role in a column and shared my experiences on Danish TV’s Go’ Morgen Danmark, discussing how the game has shaped some of my decisions and reflections.

Post-Industrial Culture
Jeg er fascineret af industrisamfundets storhed og hvordan det har formet det moderne samfund. De enorme fabriksbygninger, der engang summede af liv, står i dag tomme som ruiner, men rummer potentiale som kreative rammer for kultur. Ligesom Detroit-techno fandt et udtryk i det postindustrielle miljø, kan disse steder danne rammer for kunst, udstillinger, klubber og andre kulturelle initiativer, hvor kreativiteten kan udfolde sig. Eksempler på dette findes både i Detroit i USA og i Ruhr-distriktet i Tyskland, hvor man i dag overvejer, hvordan de historiske industrikomplekser kan få ny betydning i byernes kulturelle liv.
I am fascinated by the grandeur of industrial society and how it shaped the modern world. The vast factory buildings that once buzzed with activity now stand empty as ruins, yet they hold potential as creative spaces for culture. Just as Detroit techno emerged from its postindustrial environment, these sites can provide settings for art, exhibitions, clubs, and other cultural initiatives where creativity can thrive. Examples of this can be seen both in Detroit, USA, and in Germany’s Ruhr district, where questions remain about how these historic industrial complexes can take on new roles in the cultural life of the cities.
