I forbindelse med udgivelsen af bogen Håndbogen taler jeg med forfatter Julie Ralund om kvinders onani, skam og seksualundervisningens blinde vinkler. Med 18 anonyme fortællinger ønsker hun at skabe et mere nuanceret og mindre skamfuldt sprog for kvindelig nydelse – og gøre op med myter om orgasmer, kontrol og den “rigtige” sex. Artiklen undersøger, hvordan kultur, religion og manglende oplysning har formet vores syn på kvinders seksualitet.

In connection with the publication of Håndbogen (The Handbook), I speak with author Julie Ralund about female masturbation, shame, and the blind spots of sex education. Through 18 anonymous stories, she aims to create a more nuanced and less shame-driven language around female pleasure – and challenge myths about orgasms, control, and what counts as “real” sex. The article explores how culture, religion, and a lack of knowledge have shaped our understanding of women’s sexuality.
